Spread the love

Dizzy fans it’s time to really celebrate Dizzy in a really big way, as a very special Dizzy redux of ‘ Crystal Kingdom Dizzy ‘ on the ZX Spectrum, has only moments ago just appeared in our news feed. The original CKD was first released in 1992 on a multitude of systems in a completely different graphical pallet than we were used to and some say worse than most of the other 8-bit Dizzy games of the time. But now that is all about to change, as this ZX Spectrum version looks to be the best 8-bit styled version yet!

This release took us completely by surprise, as if we’ve known about the development earlier, I think this would’ve been the most eagerly awaited of upcoming Dizzy games on a retro system yet! Developed over what feels like several years, this latest remake features an optimal version of the engine, based on Wonderful Dizzy’s developments, updated graphical content of locations, updated plot details, based on old letters of Philip Oliver to Codemasters, colorful animation of characters and objects from Jarrod Bentley (the author of the original Crystal Kingdom Dizzy graphics) and so much more!

What an amazing Easter gift for all Dizzy gamers and retro gamers alike, so head on over to the download page and check it out on your ZX Spectrum 128k!
