Old School Gamer Magazine chats with Parasight developer Bartlomiej Bartula, who lets us k ow what inspired the game, its goals and so much more.

About Parasight:

In Parasight you can choose to play peacefully or aggressively, you can socialize with enemies or fight with them! You can choose to be a Knight, Wizard, or level up, using Soul Extracts to become stronger in dealing with the enemies.

Old School Gamer Magazine: How was this game born?

Bartlomiej Bartula: The team that is members of our gamedev center is very fond of soulslike games and RPGs. They always liked to make games of this type, after making two games, Kish & mate and Vangool the box bunny. These were for learning purposes. I thought it was time so Parasight was born.

Old School Gamer Magazine: What is your role in the game?

Bartula: I am president of Manyvids Studio, which is a hub gamedev. Salemir which is member of Mandev,  created Parasight.

Old School Gamer Magazine: What has development been like?

Bartula: It was good because we love what we do! You may face some challenges, problems, but when you love your job, you will find a way to overcome all problems! we were connected by a passion for creating games. Manydev makes your dreams come true especially young devs which is Salemir.

Old School Gamer Magazine: What makes this game special?

Bartula: I think that it had unique music, style and great role-playing mechanism. As well, it is real fun for players.

Old School Gamer Magazine: What games influenced this one the most?

Bartula: Dark Souls, Undertale? 

Old School Gamer Magazine: What were the major lessons learned?

Bartula: That I must trust young developers.

Old School Gamer Magazine: Do you think preserving older gameplay mechanics in new games is important?

Bartula: Sure! Just look at the mechanisms in Souls-like games, they are all the same but everyone loves them!

Old School Gamer Magazine: The marketplace is crowded. How do you think you stand out?

Bartula: A good game always finds its way. I believe in what we are doing and We are pretty sure that this game will ROCK!

Old School Gamer Magazine: How have your previous experiences in industry helped this game?

Bartula: Of course! The more you create games, the more thing you learn!

Old School Gamer Magazine: How do you want this game to ultimately be remembered?

Bartula: We want it to be remembered for the dialogue, and the endings!

Old School Gamer Magazine: What’s next?  

Bartula: The first we must do is finish the best version Parasight what we can. We are thinking to create a Rouge-like game for my next project, but this is just the beginning!
