you at any reasonable hour if you have the hankering to pop up the Intellivision and play some Night Stalker or MLB Baseball (“Yer Out”). Plus, you have your private session in the basement arcade with over 100 games!
ARCADE ANIMALS
In the early '80s, arcades were amazing. I was in elementary and middle school, and Starcade was on “The Superstation” WTBS! I loved watching the show, talking about video games, seeing the latest arcade games, and seeing kids and parents compete. Oh, I dreamed
of being on the show! Now, Scott, who has already accomplished
the amazing arcade, watches the Airbnb grow his video game-related
projects with Arcade Animals.
Arcade Animals is a YouTube show with six episodes currently and others planned for this year that bring back the vibe of video game shows. It is hosted by Gene Moody, who fell into the role of the “a bit crazy, but fun” guy who was a regular at Wieners and Losers (where he also earned the role of the head Wiener cook).
Contestants are largely picked from Wieners and Losers regulars. They compete in five games in the 1984 arcade right next to the studio. Trivia questions come up first, allowing the contestants to pick what games are played. They each then play and get a total score in 60 seconds. Total score on the games
and trivia brings the contestant into a final battle against an arcade game to win themselves an arcade game for their home. Does this sound familiar?
Here we are describing it, but the best way is to experience the shows! Check them out at ArcadeAnimals. com and click on that subscribe button as more episodes are going online soon!
